Today’s Adventure: Laundry
Today’s Adventure was doing laundry. Sounds pretty boring and… well, it was pretty boring. However doing laundry here is much different that just tossing it in the washer and dryer at the house.
We went over to the Clean Rite cleaners which is about 7 blocks away from the house. Kristen and I sorted all of our laundry and put it in bags so we could load it into our little collapsible rolley cart. I told Kristen I was going to buy here one of these carts when she first moved here and she told me how embarrassing it would be to drag one of those around. Well, after carrying your dirty laundry back and forth 7 blocks over your shoulder, you tend to not care how embarassing something may be…
So after we wheeled all of our laundry to Clean Rite in the snow we had to get laundry detergent from the grocery/deli across the street. Kristen whipped out her laundry card, which we had to refill with cash so we could get started. I figured we could put $10 on there and be good until I saw the prices on the washing machines. $5.25 per Load
Shit. So actually we would need to put more like $30 on there to cover our five loads of laundry. Luckily the washers and dryers are huge so they got the job done pretty quickly. Washing was 30 minutes and drying was 30 minutes.
I ran across the street to the Met for some apples. You might be thinking the Met-ropolitan Museum of Art but I am talking about the Met Grocery Store. I finally found three red delicous apples that weren’t disguisting and some tea mix.
When I got back to the laundromat our clothes were done and we stuffed all back into our sacks to load into our little cart. By this time the snow was really coming down and our clean, dry clothes were prettymuch soaked again by the time we got home. We topped off laundry day with some leftover chinese we picked up last night.

i’m sorry, i didnt mean that. you DID PAY for it all….haha!
notice this magical sentence….
“When I got back to the laundromat our clothes were done and we stuffed all back into our sacks to load into our little cart.”
therefore, I did all the laundry and you ran off. while sick i may add! i think i need to re-write your daily posts to show your viewers the real story…
